Michael Legary, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer
Michael founded Seccuris Inc. in 1999, leading the development of Seccuris from its inception. Focused on the development of an internationally recognized information assurance firm, Michael is the winner of the 2010 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Prairies region in the Technology category, recognizing the growth and success of the organization over the past decade. Most recently, Michael has taken on the role of Chief Strategy Officer for the company, providing a focus on thought leadership to clients, industry guidance, and our innovation strategy. Michael is a sought after speaker at leading industry events and continues to contribution best practices through his activities with The Open Group and the SABSA Institute. In his spare time, Michael focuses his efforts on the development of industry growth strategies including specialized business incubators, community development programs and education / industry partnerships, in an effort to ensure continued competitive growth for innovation driven industries in Canada.
Geoff Besko, President and CEO
Geoff joined Seccuris in 2006 as President and Chief Executive Officer to lead the next stage of company growth. Geoff has over 20 years of experience in information technology and strategy, with over 10 years of experience in senior management and executive leadership roles. Prior to his role at Seccuris, Geoff was the Deputy Chief Information Officer for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, responsible for leading the organizational transformation initiative to develop the eHealth Services division. Geoff also has over 15 years of consulting experience including business and IT strategy, governance, service management, and enterprise architecture. In addition to leading Seccuris, Geoff continues to provide executive advisory services to key clients and teach in the areas of Information Technology and Security Architecture. Geoff holds a MBA (Finance) and BA (Hons) from the University of Manitoba.
Janice Huth, Chief Financial Officer
Jan joined Seccuris in 2010 as Chief Financial Officer and Director, Corporate Services. She has more than 20 years of finance and business management expertise combined with strong leadership talent and experience. Jan directs finance, administration, and facilities for the organization. Past positions she has held include Controller for O&Y Enterprise, Director of Finance for GBR Architects Ltd. and Profit Centre Managing Leader for Stantec Architecture Ltd. Jan is a Certified General Accountant (CGA) and holds an H.B. Com. from Laurentian University. She also serves as Director of the Board and Treasurer for the Dream Factory.
Patrick Hayes, Managing Director, US Operations
Patrick joined Seccuris in 2010 as Director for Central and Western Regions before taking on his current role as Managing Director, US Operations to lead Seccuris’ growth in this market. A seasoned business leader with over 20 years of experience in driving customer focus into business operations and culture, Patrick’s diverse background in both large corporations and lean start-ups has allowed him to build a solid foundation as a business strategist. During the course of his career, Patrick has operated in several key senior information technology and business operations roles accountable for strategic direction, organizational alignment, and execution. Prior to joining Seccuris, Patrick served as Chief Marketing Officer for IC Group LP and Managing Director for MTS Allstream Consulting Services.
Tim Vanderhyde, Director, Sales and Marketing
Tim comes to Seccuris with over 15 years of sales and marketing experience, which includes successfully managing multi-million dollar opportunities in Canada, the US and overseas. As Director of Sales and Marketing, Tim is responsible for the Canadian sales team, overall management of marketing, maintaining and developing new business partners, and providing guidance pertaining to sales and account management throughout Seccuris. Before taking on this role at Seccuris, Tim was a Sales Director for Cengea Solutions, a division of Trimble Navigation Ltd. Tim’s executive experience also includes a two-year tenure as the Chief Executive Officer of a healthcare facility in Winnipeg, prior to returning to sales at Cengea.
Renée Riglin, Director, Managed Security Services
Renée has been with Seccuris since 2007 and is our business line leader for the Managed Security Services division. In addition to her primary role, Renée is leading the design and release of our new cloud security service offering, OneStone Information Assurance Portal. Renée has more than 15 years of experience in project, general, and operations management and has held senior leadership roles in information security and business process outsourcing within large North American enterprises such as Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and EDS Inc.
Paul Card, Director, Research & Development
Paul has more than 10 years of experience working with domestic and international companies to advance technology, research, and development strategies. Prior to joining Seccuris, Paul was a Research Scientist at TR Labs who was responsible for the security research portfolio. He has worked with over 20 different ICT companies in research and development activities. Paul holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Manitoba. Paul is an adjunct professor of the University of Manitoba, and a member of the IEEE and the ACM.
Myles Halliday, Director, Practice Management and Delivery
Myles joined Seccuris in 2012 as Regional Director for the Central Region for Seccuris and is now responsible for overseeing managing consultants across Canada, our engineering team, and leadership of Practice Management. Prior to Seccuris, Myles was the Director of Architecture and Standards at Manitoba eHealth and a Client Executive and Enterprise Architect at IBM. During his time at Manitoba eHealth, Myles demonstrated his leadership in changing the nature of IT, from operating as independent units to delivering enterprise IT shared services. Myles holds a B. Computer Science (Honours) from the University Of Manitoba.
Ryley Mackenzie, Director, Channel Management
Ryley has had an extensive and global collection of experiences ranging from both start-up organizations to multinational corporations. As Director, Channel Management for Seccuris Inc., Ryley is responsible for leading and managing Seccuris’ channel program, as well as overseeing the development and management of sales and marketing strategies for Seccuris’ Information Assurance Portal service (OneStone). His wide-ranging and expansive understanding of IT strategy and strategic management help deliver value to Seccuris clients. Ryley holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from the University of Manitoba and received his MBA from the University of Adelaide, Adelaide Graduate School of Business.
Abe Borzykowski, Director, Program Management and Professional Services
Abe is responsible for Seccuris’ Professional Services team of Information Security Consultants and for the delivery of Seccuris’ full suite of project based services. In addition, Abe manages the Seccuris Project Support Office, which provides project management and administrative support for both Professional Services and Managed Services projects. With over 25 years of experience in the insurance and IT industries, Abe has held leadership positions which included financial, business, client relationship, and resource management responsibilities. Abe holds his MBA from the University of Manitoba and his B.Comm from McGill University.
